Quoth the Raven - Beadwoven Necklace
Quoth the Raven - Beadwoven Necklace
"...Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore..."
A twisting turning tale featuring a 17" rope of hand-beaded helix in a delightfully dark and mysterious palette of glass seed, delica and bugle beads: matte charcoal, glossy ebony, deep bronze, lovely dark iris oil spill hues of midnight blue, plum and emerald green; plus hours upon hours of beady eyed dedication to detail, flow and durability.
Quoth the Raven's head has been sculpted with great love and affection, a twinge of mystery and a touch of whimsy. His haunting deep indigo eyes are two lovely specimens of freshwater coin pearl with amazing lusterous nacre. Beak and noggin retain their life-like sinuous curves as they are stuffed with "black" freshwater pearls.
His tail feather tassel features a lovely bouquet of black as night feathers with a fabulous sheen that catches and plays with the light offering flashes of deep emerald green, golden bronze, aubergine and midnight blue. A fantastic faceted briolette of moss aquamarine perches above his plumage in a lovely nest of silver wire wrap.
Quoth the Raven caresses your neck and fastens with a glorious vintage reproduction German glass button. It is a sparkly flash of glamour and a wink back to days of yore with long satin evening gloves for the ladies, top hat and tails for the gents!
All elements have been lovingly and meticulously hand beaded, stitched and wire-wrapped for ultimate beauty, strength and longevity!
With grand gestures of obeisance to Sir Edgar Allan Poe.
