The Koi Fish was meticulously bead-woven by hand, using wee little glass seed beads in a beautiful palette of vibrant oranges from peach to coral to tangerine, with pearly white, charcoal black, and some curiously caviar-like clear beads lined in jet black.

The varied lusters (aurora borealis, satin, pearl) play with the light as he swims.
His body is stuffed with Freshwater Pearls that bubble up in a lovely twist from his fishy lips.

For the necklace I took my inspiration from the iconic woodblock print,

An ocean of blue seed beads ebbs & flows in lovely waves, capped off with primo dreamy White Freshwater Pearls from the teeniest seed pearls, to a whopping 10mm, to crashing crests of Stick Pearls- each sporting incredible luminous nacre.
This whimsical beauty fastens with a glorious vintage-look German glass button set with a sparkly Austrian Crystal.
All elements have been lovingly and meticulously hand beaded, woven & stitched for ultimate beauty, strength and longevity!
